Look what I did!
My original publisher has decided to try and rip off about two-hundred of their two-hundred and fifty authors for $149 each (about $30,000) so I decided it was way past time to republish, using Angry Orchid Publishing, my own company.
I designed this new cover.
I feel I deserve to make myself a cheese sandwich.
I need some more reviewers.

Well done. Congratulations!
I’m not a fan of the font on the backcover but I do love the background image – very alluring
@JoeytheGenie - The image is about 70% of the real size, so it’s a bit difficult to read onscreen, but is okay when you see an actual copy copy, like I’m holding to the screen now, at this very minute, in Scarborough, wow!
I have a bit of marketing experience and I might suggest several major adjustments. The picture used on the cover doesn’t tell the consumer that the author is legitimate (which I believe you should convey so people can trust you since you are a wonderful writer). The font and format of the text screams to the average consumer that the book was homemade from use of MS Paint. Red on tan is also a slight irritation to the eyes. I hope these constructive criticisms will allow you to improve the cover art. If you have any questions shoot me a comment on my blog or even a message. I will gladly offer ideas.
I loved the Zorn and Xangian book covers by the way.
@WondersCafe - I don’t really understand what you mean about the cover picture not telling the consumer that the author is legitimate. Legitimate in what way, and how should it tell? It’s great when people offer constructive criticism by the way, but opinions seem to vary so much. I too like the “Xangans” cover – Stephanie Roszkowski designed that – but the one for “Zorn” – which I did – I’ve never been too sure about, and have in fact considered changing it.
@doahsdeer - Thanks. Much work done again that I’d already paid for. I might write a major blog on the rip-off artists who first published this.
Nice. I like the cover.
@Shining_Garnet - Thanks. Take a look at this one http://www.amazon.com/Zorn-Legend-Days-Graham-Worthington/dp/1449985823/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_1Hit the “look Inside” (click on the cover) to get a full size. I can’t decide if it’s tacky or not.
About the motives of the girl, I agree. It was h.s. and the another reason why I said, “never in a million years” was due to my concerns that it would be used as a joke against me in the future. What I had not expected was that later on things didn’t return to normal. I guess it was more, but some times we shall never know the answer.
Fantastic. Congrats on this!
@Roadlesstaken - Thaggu, as The King used to say, Thaggu verra much.
@WondersCafe - Don’t depend too much on words to answer words. Next time, pant, drool and leer insanely but answer neither yea nor nay.
