“Xangans” In Canada and UK
Xangans, the paperback collection of stories by bloggers and authors in the xangan community, is now available in Canada and in the UK on each country’s Amazon.
This is considerable progress from where we were a few days ago, when CreateSpace were giving me a load of gloomy stuff about “CreateSpace is not supported on international sites.”
You’ll notice that each of the two latter sites are warning “out of stock,” or “not yet available.” This is the usual hot air, and should change soon. (Edit – Xangans on both amazon.ca and amazon.co.uk has now gone to full availability.)
Peep peep =)

@The44thHour - bit by bit, we’re getting there.
How exciting
Yay!
Yay!!!!
@The44thHour - @darkoozeripple - @Simbathe2nd - @PervyPenguin - @disillusionisreal - What is it today, International Monosyllable Day? But this is a good place and time to say a few words. I am not sure why CreateSpace is swinging back and forth in it’s policies in this fashion, but it may be negative feedback that is comming from the CreateSpace community. Yes, CreateSpace has a community. In our first few days we sold about 14 copies per day, and this gave us an extremely high ranking on Amazon. It is natural that his would fall off. There was a high level of interest generated on Xanga by the activity of certain dummies. That too has fallen off. It could have been prolongued by provoking said dummies to more criticism, but that isn’t the way that I, for one, wanted to go. The high ranking on amazon may result in interest from people willing to assist us. However, in my experience, things like this take about three months to filter through the system. I will shortly be featuring SerenaDante’s “Fantastica.” Please give it all the support you can. It is an e-book, and costs $2.99 for a download onto your computer. As people place reviews on amazon I’ll feature them on this site, and I’d encourage you to look at the “Listamania” feature on amazon. If I receive any an enquiry regarding any individual author, I will of course forward it to them, but don’t expect miracles to come from this book. This is a game of inches.
Yay!
Hee hee….I bought a Nook from Barnes and Noble back in May, love it, and then the price dropped $60. I wrote to BN about this, asking for some compensation, and was told to go to the store that I bought it at….so I went to the store and was told in 15 different ways “No.” But she did take my name/number to give to her DM and he’d give me a call if there was any other answer but “No.” I’m sure my number went right into the round file after I walked out the door. Bitch. I, however; am not undaunted and will continue my quest for some sort of compensation. Sure things go on ‘sale,’ this implies that the price will go back up….the Nook price was dropped because of a price war between BN, Borders, and Amazon. It will not be going back up to the price which I bought it for…I think I have a case. What do you think?
That’s pretty awesome!
@SerenaDante - UK and Canada have been kind of slow, but I’ve found that they’re not generally as well organised as .com
Wonderful!!
@SerenaDante - Yay for e-books@darkoozeripple - When will your Xangian book be available on E-book format? I read via mobipocket, Amazon is the supporter of Mobipocket and Kindle.
I will have to look into this. I think it may be just a matter of me submitting it, or it may be that CreateSpace can’t do it, and I have to go through amazon.
